Message	writing, changing, creating, and/or PASSING a false document with intent to defraud as common as identity theft and fraud are in this day and age (everyone and their cousin passing bad checks) i would be very cautious against going up to a teller window with something that i even *THOUGHT* might be a bad check then again i wouldn't know how to verify funds on a check but i guess the moral of the story is be very careful what you say so that one does not give the impression that he is attempting to 'pass' the check
